Mercy and Compassion turn our hearts and our deeds answering the cries of earth and of humanity as hunger burns new deserts across the land and floods yet more areas with violence and with loss. Mercy and Compassion let us be changed, charged, committed, and willing to risk what comforts we’ve known to bring aid and ease suffering. Mercy and Compassion open our hearts to remembering when another has been with us in our fears and suffering. Open our hearts to remembering and being grateful for the blessings we have known and taken for granted or as our due. Mercy and Compassion, if our cups have anything in them, may we share what is there with those in need. Mercy and Compassion you are blessings; turn us in sharing those blessings, in living more fully into those blessings, and in doing what we can in this vale of tears. Amen.
