Morning Prayer January 5, 2012

Waken with thanksgiving, my heart, to meet the Holy in this new day! Hasten to settle into merciful stillness and attend to all the blessings of steadfast love. I remember the histories of renewal, restoration, and release from bondage. I celebrate steadfast love through the ages. I remember my personal story in which love shows up, is grown, and is shared in new ways each day. I celebrate steadfast love in the present. I attend the worthy dreams of so many yearning for equality, for education, for enough to eat, for shelter, for steadfast love and warm welcome. Today, let me work for those dreams, for steadfast love was there for the people before. Steadfast love is here now. Steadfast love is going faithfully into this new day. Let me follow and do my part. Amen.
