Evening Prayer May 3, 2012

Lover of Life whether we are more judgmental of ourselves or judgmental of others, open our hearts to wise and accountable merciful justice. Strengthen us in living out our promises when those promises are kind, when they bring more goodness into the world, when they help others bear up and bear on. Encourage us in letting go of our hasty promises, so often unkind, so often seeking vengeance, so often creating more hurt or hatred, tearing down and tearing apart. In our singing, teach us to listen to one another. In our dancing, teach us to follow and lead in our turns. In our stories, teach us to feed each other’s hopes, dreams, and imagination for the good, the true, and the loving, to guide us in all our days and all our nights. Amen.
