Evening Prayer July 18, 2012

Holy and beautiful are the generous ones, those who wait patiently and reach out lovingly, those who radiate kindness when so much is so unkind. Holy and beautiful are the merciful ones, those who do the rough and tumble work of reconciliation and those who risk faithfully to make welcome and make refuge. Holy and beautiful are the loving ones, steadfast amid those who are feckless and selfish, instead caring and insisting on caring in bold, courageous, and empowering ways. Holy and beautiful are these faithful ones, serving all their nights and all their days. They are reasons for us to give thanks and to sing their praises. Alleluia! Amen.
