Lover of Life hear our thanksgiving for what nourishes us, body and soul. Hear our thanksgiving for the love we have known and the love we may yet offer another, for the good food we have received and the place at the table we may set for a stranger, for the wisdom that has guided us away from iniquity and for what we still have yet to learn. What a blessing it is to need to stop and rest and eat together! What a blessing it is to learn something new from each other! What a blessing it is to be welcomed in when we are a stranger! And what a blessing it to be the one who welcomes! Thanks indeed for these many blessings and the many others which we receive and which you ask us to help create! Alleluia! Amen!
