Holy song of the evening, let our racing thoughts quiet, our scattered minds come back to a place of peace, our puffed or bruised spirits meet your song as the balm and blessing it is. We give thanks for the blessings we met today, for unexpected generosity and for opportunities to stretch and live into our faithful promises. Holy song of peace, the way is so often rough, unkind, and challenging, especially when those challenges come from ourselves, from our failings and from our imaginings and from our memories that grip us and prevent us from living as generously, as lovingly, as hopefully as we might dream and as we are called. If it were not for these spaces to stop and pray, these many other opportunities given us to bless and be blessed, these reminders that we are called, we are up to the task before us, we can indeed make way and make refuge, and join transforming love in holy change, then we would feel lost and alone. But Song of Peace you welcome us, even with our faltering efforts, our broken keys, and all our other imperfections, for from these imperfections we find the way of mercy, the way of compassion, the way of generosity. And having found that way, we discover how love challenges, transforms, and heals. Blessed indeed is the Song of Peace, the song of the evening, the chance to be, to give thanks, to open our hearts to what is needful once again. Amen.
