Before I rest, let me stop to review the day in the light of faith. Where I have met blessings I can recognize and appreciate, let me give thanks for them and rejoice. Where I have been puzzled or even felt lost and confused, let me put these things aside in my heart to ponder. Where I have been challenged or met great obstacles and even trials, let me give thanks for the chance to rest, and ask for help and strength through this time. Where I have been asked to give, let me be glad when I answered that call well and may my heart wax still more generous from night to day and day to night. Where I have been given the chance to pause and rest in awe and wonder, let me give thanks, and be ever ready to do so now and evermore. Love grant all of us in need the courage we need for the journey ahead, the open-heartedness we require to live faithfully, and the generosity to be steadfast this night and always. Amen.
