Equip our hearts and minds, our bodies and our spirits with what is needful to keep steadfast through the storms, to carry on through this trial and around the bend, to gather together and invite all to the work of healing, of hope, of tending this earth, and of tending each other. Love teach us today and every day how not to fear, but to take heart in our neighbor's differences. Teach us today and every day how not to hate, but to welcome every stranger, and when we are strangers ourselves to risk seeking welcome and refuge. Teach us today and every day how not to accept injustice and inequality and try to get by only for ourselves, but to remember we are all in this together, and to work together creating justice, honoring equality, making equality law, and living beyond the letter and into the spirit of such laws. Love teach us, challenge us, and change us as we join the changing of this world, our lives true prayers, steadfast, courageous, and true. Amen.
