for Lunar New Year
Joyfully we give thanks for another year, for this Lunar New Year, and the reminder that every day we are beginning again, caretakers of what good has been given us, repairers of what we have broken or has been discarded or past to us, bearers of what good the future will know. We rejoice and give thanks for our ancestors. We rejoice and give thanks for being called to this moment. We rejoice and give thanks that the future needs us now. May we rejoice and give thanks and recommit ourselves to wisdom's guidance. Wisdom guide us in all things, growing from what we have learned before, and choosing to emphasize and grow more generous, more loving, and more kind. Wisdom guide us in all things, gratefully building upon what good our ancestors have given us, and gratefully and with forgiveness letting go of what was bad or no longer is helpful and causes harm. Wisdom guide us in all things, that our dreams and doing, our hopes and our hearts, bear a better and wiser future forward. Amen.
