Wherever we are this night, may we find the heart of love to guide us, the heart of mercy to hold us, and the heart of courage to keep us where we need to go. Wherever we must go this night, whether near or far, in danger or in safety, may we remember our faithful promises and do what we can to make this world more loving and more whole. Tonight may all find peace: those who watch with the dying, those who flee for refuge, those who are on guard, those who sleep at home, those who are weary seeking shelter, and those whose troubles usually keep them from rest. Tonight may all find peace: the child, the stranger, the watcher, the wanderer, the parent, the grandparent, the neighbor, the friend, the enemy, the estranged, the lost, and the confused. Wherever we are this night, may we find the heart of love to guide us, the heart of mercy to hold us, and the heart of courage to keep us where we need to go. Amen.
