Wisdom, prepare our hearts for this day, that we may learn and delight in learning. Courage, prepare our hearts for this day, that we may risk faithfully and risk well, and, if we should fail, that we learn and begin again. Mercy, prepare our hearts for this day, that we may make amends and seek forgiveness and offer our own mercies when called to do so. Love, prepare our hearts for this day, that we may be more generous than we are ready to be, more encouraging than comes easily to us, and more gracious to embody the love we ourselves appreciate and adore, and to which we aspire.
