Beloved, we learn toward you as a growing plant leans toward the light, giving thanks and rejoicing in the birth of a new day. You call us and encourage us to lean into the difficult places, to love boldly, and to take responsibility for this earth and for one another. May we stay true to our hearts, following our yearning to uphold our part of the covenant, learning and teaching, giving and receiving, trying and failing, trying and succeeding. Leaning toward what is good, leaning into the painful places, leaning into the risk, sometimes we will topple over, fall, and find ourselves a little dusty, a little bruised, a little bemused at the comedy of life. Grant us the laughter and the heart to lean again and keep doing our best to fulfill these promises that call to us, day after day. Amen.
