Beloved, we all have those days and nights when the weight of what is needed and what is wrong and what is hurtful presses close upon us, where the ways of peace and hope and joy seem barred and closed, when we are weary, afraid, or plain old discouraged. Beloved, we all have those times. Help us hold onto the song of courage and the dance of hope to a better night and a better day. Help us hold onto one another, encourage each other, cheer each other up and on, together making the impossible way possible, rich with wonder and hope and joy. Help us keep steady in making the way of peace, in taking what is wrong and changing it until goodness prevails, in tending the hurts and caring steadily and well. Beloved, we all have those times when we are weary, afraid, or plain old discouraged. Do not let us turn aside from how goodness call us. Instead, help us be the hope to one another that we ourselves are seeking, and keep steadfastly on our way. Amen.
