Heart of the World you call us daily from our love of being apart, separate, and self-reliant to the life of compassion, which requires honoring, giving thanks, and strengthening our belonging to and with others, our need for care, our dependence upon each other living open-heartedly generous lives. Heart of the World you call us daily from how we turn away from those in need, how we cause suffering out as we turn us away from merciful justice. You call us back to the world of care, the world that is, where we bear responsibility for one another, where can reduce and prevent so much pain with greater generosity, where we have the power, the authority, the gifts, and the talents to help this world thrive with transforming love, thrive with abundant kindness, thrive with equality, thrive with dignity, thrive with all that is good. May we do all we can do today, and every day, to create true goodness wherever we are. Amen.
