Lover of Life, may we give thanks for each night we break bread together, grateful for the bread, for our togetherness, for the day we have had, for the love we share, for the song we live. May we give thanks for each night when we share a meal with solitude, grateful for the food, for the silence, for the chance to sit with all being and attend the heart of life and the prayer we live. Night takes away the separation brought by day, inviting us to attend the reality of our belonging, breath by breath, moment by moment, to the great whole. May we give thanks for that, each and every night, for all we share, for this great communion of life, and rejoice and be glad. Amen.
