Wisdom, how can we not dwell in wonderment, awed by the simple things, such as the air we breathe, the earth we live upon, the water that quenches our thirst, the food that nourishes us and our communities? How can we not dwell in wonderment at the stones and the lichens, the stars and the planets, the darkness and the day, and so many other marvelous facts of living? Wisdom, how can we not dwell in wonderment? Is it simply because we would get less done? If so, may we rest tonight in wonderment, opening our hearts' doors to the joy of being, glad for the simple things that make life and make life lovely and whole. Amen.
