What a mercy a drop of rain is heralding the needed rains after a drought, and the parting of the clouds for drying sun after a flood, the soft shade of trees in the middle of the hot day, the warmth of a hot meal at the end of a long, cold journey! With such mercies and what blessings we daily meet, create, and share, how can we not give thanks? Beloved, attend our hearts singing their gratitude for the gifts of each day, for the gifts we have shared and created from other gifts received, met, and found, like the good wild mushrooms gathered and now part of this day's repast to be shared with strangers and friends. Beloved, may we give thanks in every hour, but at least in those moments when we find respite or pleasure or learn something or are wowed once again. May multitude of merciful blessings increase for all beings as we attend to and appreciate the ones we have, as we share and create together blessings for others and for this world, as we live, gratefully, each and every day. Amen.
