Wisdom teach us through our senses about what truly nourishes the heart, the body, the spirit, the mind, community, families, friendships, peoples, earth, and all beings. Teach us through the joy of song and the delight of attentive listening, through sharing generous laughter and kind speech, through chosen silence and through contented murmuring of what truly nourishes our hearts, our bodies, our spirits, our minds, our communities, our families, our friendships, our peoples, this earth, and all beings. Teach us through the pleasures of taste and real meals, lovingly prepared, through food grown where or near where we live, through the harmony of all the flavors that compose the palate and that compose a life, through the ways food brings us together and can feed us so well, teach us what truly nourishes not only ourselves, by our neighbors' heart, our neighbors' bodies, our neighbors' minds, our neighboring communities, our neighbors' families, our neighbors' friendships, our neighboring peoples, this earth, and all beings. Teach us through the joy of dancing and the delight of swimming, through the pleasure of a cool breeze on a hot day and a warm place to rest after a cold and wearying one, through loving embrace and through kind touch of what truly nourishes not only ourselves, but all beings, all hearts, all bodies, all minds, all communities, all families, all friendships, all peoples, all over the earth. Teach us, Wisdom, through the fragrance of flowers, the scents that recall us to home, the pepperiness that startles us back to attention, the odors of what is fresh and wholesome and truly nourishes, teach us not only for ourselves, or for our neighbors, but for those who are strange to us, to strangers' hearts and bodies and minds, to unknown and unmet communities and families and friendships and peoples, for this earth and for all beings. Teach us, Wisdom, through attention to this life, to what we see and what we perceive, through what we value as beautiful and what our neighbors value, what strangers value as beautiful, what those we fear and do not trust understand as beautiful, teach us through attention to this life of how we may truly nourish this earth and all beings. Amen.
