Love lead us past bitterness and help us be bearers of sunlight and hope, of assuring generosity and kindness beyond measure. Lead us into fruitfulness of spirit and of deed, of thankfulness for the juicy blessings of every day, of gladness for the foundations of hope that give us courage to live vulnerably and whole-heartedly when we would rather turn away. Love lead us past the cold heartedness that is easier than wise, though often cloaked in the language of prudence and reason. Lead us past that cold heartedness into a different and more hospitable way, one full of sharing and caring and daring to risk faithfully for mercy, for compassion, for the sake of blessing this life day by day. Love lead us into fulfilling our best and most generous aspirations and into fulfilling our faithful promises, though the way is unsure, though there is a clamor that the way is unsound, though obstacles and challenges abound. Love lead us, whatever is, wherever we are, whoever we are, to hope made real in every day. Amen.
