Spirit of Wonder, you who know the seasons of our world and our lives, let us give thanks for the seasons of transition, the seasons of possibilities and unknowns. Spirit of Wonder, it can be so difficult sometimes to hold the hands of our fears as we cross into the unknown, as we risk faithfully to do what is needful and to try new ways of bearing mercy and justice and hope and love and compassion into being. May we whirl in wonderment, until we collapse in generous laughter and our fears stop controlling us, until we are able to flower with the gifts we have and share with others to meet this unknown and changing time. And then may we be glad and grateful to learn new things, to share in new ways, to be joyfully surprised at being able to be more merciful, generous, forgiving, just, hopeful, compassionate, and loving than we imagined before. May these seasons of transition, of possibilities and unknowns, become seasons of thriving, of wonderment, of faithful risk and generous laughter. Amen.
