Beloved, as the seasons of our lives change, we must take up new challenges and let go old expectations, the transient expectations and wants that can hold us up and hold us back from true acceptance, happiness even, and attending to those expectations that abide and need our attention. Help us let go of the transient wants and expectations and attend to the needs that are real, the hopes that makes a real difference not only today, but for ages to come. Beloved, as the seasons of our lives change, may we embrace learning how to love more boldly, how to give thanks more freely, how to live more generously hour by hour, and how to be kinder than is easy. May we embrace wonderment and learning and sharing both of these with others for the sheer joy of the wow and of wisdom. May we embrace laboring together for goodness' sake, and making real the compassionate, just, and peaceful dreams we share. Beloved, as the seasons of our lives change, may we be glad to take up new challenges and let go of what is holding our hearts back from fully embracing this journey. Amen.
