Source of All, how easy it is to be comfortable with what we know -- or think we do -- to settle into a narrowed space of knowledge and call it wisdom, to join the folly of avoiding Mystery and Wonder for the comfort of our boundaried and encapsulated knowing. Yet each day calls us out of such comfort into learning new things, into experiencing gratitude and humility and gladness, into leaving our comfort zones and meeting adventure and the joys of curiosity and cultivating Wisdom. May we follow the wonderment, whirling in amazement for the gift, challenge, and hope of living. We may find it easier because of the limitations we have, the limitations on our lives, the NO that has ground its way like a splinter of glass into our spirits until it threatens our hearts, Source of All, we may find it easier to say and accept we cannot, to grow smaller and rustier bound into what we know. Yet you call us out of that way, to find newness even amidst limitations, to refuse the NO that diminishes communities, fractures families, destroys lives and junks the world. May we follow the wonderment, whirling in amazement for the gift, challenge, and hope of living. Source of All, may we appreciate the wonderment that is present, whirl out of our complacencies and assumptions and discover how much we can actually do for goodness' sake together, how good the world can be, how gracious and how wise, when we show up to meet and make it so. Amen.
