Wisdom, you teach us to cherish each day, each beautiful moment, each kindness offered, each time we can serve mercy, hope, and joy. May we cherish this day, be glad in it, give thanks for it. And where reasons for thanksgiving seem small, when we might be struggling most to perceive what there is to cherish in this day, may we be especially attentive to how we can make this day one for giving thanks, one to cherish, one that bears joy and hope and mercy into being. Wisdom, you teach us to cherish each beautiful moment. May we be glad for those moments of beauty and give thanks for them. And where beauty is in short supply, where ugliness and suffering prevail, may we do all we can to spark and grow and share beauty, to create with others more beautiful communities and homes and lives one act at a time, one day and one moment at a time. Wisdom, you teach us to cherish each time kindness is offered. May we cherish those kindnesses offered us, be glad in them, and give thanks for them. And when kindness seems hard to find, as well as when our own basket of kindness overflows, may we render this day more worthy of gladness by our own kindnesses, our own attention to how we can make another's day blossom with joy, or with hope, or with mercy. Wisdom, you teach us to cherish each day, each beautiful moment, each kindness offered, each time we can serve mercy, hope, and joy. May we do so, and do all we can to make each day worth of cherishing for every being, everywhere. Amen.
