Courageous Love may I be like a great tree, with roots that hold the earth gladly. May I raise up my heart even when I cannot raise my hands and sway with grateful joy in the dance of the day. May I give thanks for the seasons that grant growth and abundance and rest and resilience and teach patience and wisdom in every day. Courageous Love may I be like a great tree, one of the many, a network of beings whose lives grace the earth, sustain each other, and, even when we are decayed and laid low, keep nurturing the health of the whole. May my being sing with the birds, reflect, rejoice in and be part of the beauty of the earth, and bestow blessings on this life that so blesses me. Courageous Love may I be like a great tree, even when I feel weedy and distracted or hunched up and shrubby against the storm or with wide-spread limbs delighted by what is and what may yet be. Amen.
