Beloved, may we live mindfully and heartfully every night and day, aware of the legacy we are making with each moment. May what we leave behind us be worthy of gladness and gratitude. And when we do fail mightily, make major mistakes, add to the grief and the yuck already in this world, may we do what we can to make amends, to ease that grief, to clean up yuck beyond on our own making, and to keep risking spectacular and tiny failures for what is right and good and needful. Beloved, may we live mindfully and heartfully every night and day, attentive to the legacies we have inherited, for good and for ill. May we tend those legacies, sharing the good with gladness and gratitude, restoring the broken and bearing healing and hope for what was wrongfully done. Beloved, may we live mindfully and heartfully every night and day, attentive to what is as much as to what may be and what was, attentive with love and with mercy and with justice and with hope, with all that calls us faithfully from night to day and back again. Amen.
