Lover of Life may we be perfected in love, compassion, and generosity, perfected in that old meaning of perfect, full to overflowing. May our hearts be so loving, compassionate, and generous we cannot help but be loving, compassionate, and generous all our days. We know the petty obstacles that prevent such fullness, the little hurts, the aches, the sense that we deserve more or better, the resentments, the weariness, the fears that sap our strength. But let us so love this life, and be so attuned to what kindness and mercy are needed that generosity easily follows and carries us past the hurts and the aches, past our self-regard and our resentments, eases the weariness and surges past the fears. May we so love this life and be attuned to the call of compassion and have our ready response of generosity that whatever obstacles we may have in the way are set down and we are ready and answering with our yes for the love of all. Lover of Life wake again in us today this desire to be full of and overflowing with love, compassion, and generosity, wherever we are today, whatever we face, however we are called. Amen.
