Wake to this morning in which good things are growing, fruiting, sowing, traveling from one place to the next. Wake to this morning in which goodness is restoring, reviving, remaking, bearing healing and hope from one place to the next. And in each place goodness brings its blessings, there is more for those of us living there to work with, more to pray with, more to act with day by day. May we wake to this morning which knows plenty of trouble and plenty of sorrow and plenty of skillful and skill-less cruelty, and in that waking may we reach toward the blessing of what is good, what is holy, what cannot truly belong to us but is in our care to tend and to nourish, countering the trouble and comforting those who grieve and turning skills and energy toward what restores and revives and remakes for healing and hope, day after day. Amen.
