Bearer of Grace, let us gather tonight and remember the promises we have made and the stories that remind us who we are and how we are called to be. In that remembering of our highest resolve, may we recommit ourselves to this time, to what is needful and good right now, to easing the plight of captives and seeking freedom, to making way and welcome to those fleeing for their lives, to feeding those who hunger, including ourselves. Bearer of Grace, as we remember who we are and how we are called, may we recall that now is the time, a fine time like so many other imperfect times, to create a more trustworthy and loving world, to hold each other accountable in love and to grow wiser night by night and day by day. In that recalling of our shared calling, may we also remember our own struggles and imperfections and failures and take not the easy road of condemning others in their struggles, imperfections, and failures, but the heartening road of helping one another whatever is and whatever may be next. Bearer of Grace, may we know and identify the moments in our lives that grace has touched and offered us respite and wonder and restoration and hope. And knowing those moments, may we go forth to offer that to others, being little bearers of grace, each to our ability, together making a great difference. Amen.
