My heart reaches out to you, Beloved, yearning for that which is not in my reach, lifting up my head and my hopes toward the shining stars and the forested hills where so many rivers are born. My heart reaches out to you, Beloved, and in that yearning I find myself remembering my faithful hopes and my faithful promises, recalled to what I can do and choose right here and now to make love and hope and mercy and kindness real. My heart reaches out to you, Beloved, and finds you here, everywhere love is, everywhere generosity is the way of being, everywhere compassion is cultivated, everywhere goodness grows strong and beautiful. May I rejoice in these and so many other blessings, in faithful hopes and faithful promises, and in the choices I have and the ways I can yet serve love, hope, mercy, and kindness now and always. Amen.
