Shake a wing, a feather, a thought, a sleepy head! Let us wake and sing and fly into the new day, glad for the gift of it and the gift of each other. How easy it often seems, Weaver of Wisdom, to do things by ourselves; it may seem more virtuous, and even responsible. And yet, is there really anything just by ourselves alone? When we eat, even if we grow and harvest and prepare that food, we needed sun and rain and soil, tools others made, the songs that helped us through the day, the place to rest at night, stories and laughter and love that come through others, with others, because we belong to and with one another. Shake a wing, a feather, a thought, a sleepy head! Let us wake and sing and fly into the new day, glad for the gift of it and the gift of each other. We are responsible for each other and this world, responsible to one another, and for working together to achieve what is truly good, what is truly kind, what is truly necessary, to make peace and just real, to cultivate hope and create wonder and beauty, in this and in every day. So let's get going, Weaver of Wisdom, to do our piece and our part, belonging to the whole, making way and room for us all, for the health of this earth, for the love that challenges and changes us, for the love that calls us into being morning after morning. Amen.
