Lover of Wonder, reconnect us: lead us along the way so we may learn to weave new relationships of justice and beauty and joy, that we may learn the even more difficult work not of creating new relationships, but re-weaving those that have been torn and burned and neglected and tossed away. Lover of Wonder, reconnect us: help us learn and share the wisdom of generous laughter and gracious acts, of welcoming strangers and welcoming neighbors, of loving one another and loving ourselves, of the necessity and the pleasure of sharing food and beauty and stories together. Lover of Wonder, reconnect us. There is no need to reach out and pluck us up and mash us together, putting my hand in that of another, and another's hand in mine, except when we are sulking or have just lost everything and have no way to reach out on our own, then please, reconnect us. Lover of Wonder, reconnect us. What a wonderful opportunity each day is to meet one another, to meet the holy in each other, to bear witness and help and healing with one another, to share our gifts and our hopes and our secrets and our work with each other. May we make the most of this opportunity every day, leaning over to offer our hearts and our hands, to weave new relationships and to repair and maintain existing ones, to create together mercy and joy. Amen.
