Wisdom, while energy is conserved, transforming from one energy form to another, some nights so many of us have done just that, and we have so little energy left to tend what needs tending. Help us find together a little more zestiness, sharing a story, a meal, a song, a moment the holy was obviously present in our day. And through our sharing may we find new energy, new joy, new reason to give thanks. Through our sharing may we find that we have been tending what needs tending, the relationships that challenge and change us, that comfort and console, that encourage and cajole us into living more whole-heartedly, more faithfully, into risking for what is good and true and needful all our lives. Wisdom, turn us toward one another, in ways that help us find each other's hearts and treasure them, and discover again how sustaining each other renews and restore us for the even more difficult, for the greater challenges all of us have, to endure oppression and to take it on and transform it, to forgive and to make amends, to heal and to offer balm for others in need. Wisdom, turn us toward one another, nurturing what is real and good and true and needful for all our lives, that before the night is over, we are replenished with thanksgiving and charged with hope once again. Amen.
