Mercy and Compassion, we know there is abundant goodness in this world, enough for all if we care to share it, enoughness beyond the imagination of many of us, enoughness that sustains and nourishes and makes hope real. Mercy and Compassion, lead us away from defensiveness and greed and into generosity and understanding, into giving thanks for enoughness when it shows us, and discovering how to know what truly is enough. Let us share more joyfully, give more lovingly, sacrifice the easy stuff that we know we really don't need so that someone else can have what they could not and truly do need. Mercy and Compassion, help us have the courage and the vulnerability to be part of the abundant goodness in this world, to make sure all have enough, to make our choices to sustain and nourish and make hope real. These are choices to be made every day, without fail. May we show up and make them, for mercy and compassion's sake, day after day, steadfast in nurturing hope. Amen.
