How easy it is to live cynically, without reverence or respect! Love you have planted the seeds. Teach us to cultivate reverence in ourselves, respect for and wonder for the blessings and beauty of this world, the blessings and beauty of this life, the blessings and beauty each of us has and can be. Love you challenge us to change and respect ourselves, our neighbors, the strangers we are and the strangers we meet. Morning and night may we meet you in the garden of life, having kept watch and found ourselves restless with yearning for this time, a time to be, to breathe with gratitude and awe and gladness, a time to gather up the frayed bits of our being and reweave them so we may live wholeheartedly again. Love, you challenge us to change and respect ourselves and respect each other, in all our differences and all our sameness, all our imperfections and all our fears, in all our hopes and in all our dreams. May we remember that we are worthy to be here right now and that we have so much blessing to offer this world. May we remember that we belong to the here and the now, in all the muddle and mystery, all the awe and all the joy that can be and is with our help. Amen.
