Lover of Life there are phases and seasons and ages throughout our lives. There those cycles that turn us round and round again through the same themes hopefully a little wiser and a lot more loving. There are the times that begin and end delivering us from one part of our lives to another with different work and whole new paths of learnings. Lover of Life may we learn to appreciate these phases, seasons, and ages of our own lives, of those we love, of our neighbors' lives, of strangers' lives, and of those who vex us. Let us not skip over the changes, gloss over the movement from age to another, pretend that change and transitions are not happening. Lover of Life, turn our attention to such transitions, lest we miss out on life's fullness, on the lessons in the changes, on recognizing what was done well and what needs continued effort, on celebrating the harvest and being glad and grateful for the goodness that was and the goodness that may yet be. Tonight, facing the little cycle of day giving over to night, may we know where we are in our lives, which phase or season or age. May we reflect upon the day that was and the week that was and celebrate the good, learn from our failings, and recommit ourselves to what is truly worthy. Lover of Life there are phases and seasons and ages throughout our lives. Turning from day into night, may we gather together to honor our harvests as much as our sowing, to give thanks for each day, to make lives well and fully lived. Amen.
