Wisdom laugh with us that we may be ready once again to say yes to life. Right when we are weary, right when we are hungry, right when we no longer have the courage or strength to dance, help us find a bubble of generous laughter that we can ride to a new perspective, a new feeling of hopefulness, enough relief to say yes and dance. Wisdom laugh with us that we may sing yes to life. Twirl us round from our discouragements and our failures that we may appreciate the good that is and was and may yet be. Help us find the notes that spark joy again, a joy that warms the body and the soul. Wisdom laugh with us that we may keep singing yes to life. Even if what is left is brief, even though time may be drawing close, even though we have plenty of reasons to grieve and to give ourselves over to despair, help us find the sweetness in living, the good memories and the fond wishes and the kind hopes, the little laughs that add up into great big belly-shakers, wheezers of wonderment and gladness and gratitude in the great song of being. Amen.
