Beloved, in the middle of the mess and muddle of our lives, may we pause one by one and together to know peace. May we know the silence that renews and restores, that invites us into the middle of wonder, awakening again to the blessedness of being. Let us put a stop to the violence, and by doing so for a few minutes, remember that we can choose to lay down violence for longer, if we would cultivate together a life of caring, of dignity, of freedom, of equity, of compassion. Beloved, in the middle of the mess and muddle of our lives, may we pause one by one and together to know peace. And knowing peace for that little bit of time, may we rededicate ourselves to creating a merciful and just peace in our hearts, our homes, our neighborhoods, and around the world. May we rebuild what was broken by violence, cultivate healing and hope together, and not forget how much power each of us has to make again the blessedness of being. Amen.
