Most Merciful and Most Compassionate, when we are truly tired may we lay down the extra work of being so critical of others, of maintaining suspicions and cynicism, of lashing out cruelly and demanding of others what we don't have the energy for ourselves. When we are truly tired, may we take the easier way of being kind, of choosing encouraging words and finding our hearts warmed by what enthusiasm is shared, of choosing loving and falling in love again or for the first time with our neighbors, our households, and even ourselves. Most Merciful and Most Compassionate, if we might find such blessings when we are truly tired, may we dare to try the blessings of kindness when we do have get-up-and-go, when we are restless or fiesty and have energy to burn. And then may we be surprised again by joy, the blessedness of being, because we have chosen a way of loving this world more fully into where all of us hope to dwell. Amen.
