Lover of Life each morning we wake to a new day in this season of our lives. May we rejoice in that little wondrous blessing. Here is the new day! Here is both newness, opportunity to learn, to love, to make a positive difference in this world, to cherish, to give thanks, to live more generously than seems prudent. May we love the newness, and also give thanks for the truth that one day belongs to the next, on either side, the yesterdays and the tomorrows. May we rejoice in that little wondrous blessing. Lover of Life, we are truly new but once, and once belonging to this life have our place in the world to do what we can and will, to choose and to fail often enough in our choices to learn, to learn courage and commitment and taking up and letting go. How easy it is to forget that these are part of what it is to be human, our heart's labors in each day, to learn to cherish and give thanks, to aspire and to reach, to make promises and fulfill the sacred ones and let go of the hasty and harmful ones, to live together and create lives worth living and communities worth living in and a world vibrant and resilient through our care. Lover of Life each morning we wake to a new day in this season of our lives. May we live fully, whole-heartedly, and as well as possible, cherishing the good that is and working steadfastly for the good that may be. Amen.
