Beloved, when we are tired there is so much we struggle to do, struggling even more than usual, struggling with less grace and skill than we have in fresher moments. Help us find a place of grace in our weariness and the restoration of love and wonder that the end of the day may bring. When we are weary, we are often less than wise, quicker to react harmfully or to miss one another in our caring. Help us find a place of grace in our weariness, and in that place touch the wisdom we gathered and treasured. When we are sluggish and worn, we may be less than loving, less than kind, almost certainly less than our best selves. Beloved, help us find a place of grace in our tiredness, and as night approaches, may a little rest and a little sweetness recall us to our more loving selves. When we are exhausted and slightly cranky from exhaustion, may we keep opening our hearts not in spite of knowing sorrow but because we know there is so much more blessing in this life - ours to offer, ours to receive, ours to cherish, ours to nurture, ours to bestow upon a world much in need of relief from sorrow and a little more love and a little more wonder and a little more caring from each and from all. Amen.
